Panagiotis Kampylis

P. Kampylis

 

He was born in Astros Kynourias on 1967 and he works as a primary school teacher. He graduated the Faculty of Primary Education of the National and Capodistrian University of Athens. He has also studied Music Theory into Apollonian Conservatoire of Athens and he has done refresh training studies, to Maraslio Didaskalio of University of Athens.

 

Since 1994 he has done many presentations in seminars and national, European and international conferences. He has authored the books Creative Activities for 3rd and 4th Grade and Creative Activities for 5th and 6th Grade (Patakis Publications, 2008); he has also co-authored (with I. Spetsiotis) the books The Music Lab (Ellinika Grammata Publications, 2000), The Invisible Orchestra (Ellinika Grammata Publications, 2002) and Toys – a Multidisciplinary Approach (Orion Publication, 2008). He has published several articles in scientific and pedagogical magazines in the fields of

Creativity, Musical Education and ICT-based learning.

 

Currently he is a scholar of the Greek State Scholarships Foundation and Ph.D. candidate in the Cognitive Science and User-friendly Information Technology Study Line in the Department of Computer Science and Information Systems of University of Jyväskylä, Finland. The working title of his Ph.D. research is “The teachers’ role in the creative age”. His research interests also include the construction of improvised musical instruments and toys, the utilization of ICT in primary education, and e-learning.
